Why we started

Para training should be built around the athlete in front of you.

Built Twice exists because we could not find a training platform that understood how individual para-sport really is. Adaptation, equipment, condition, recovery, confidence, and lived context all change the plan.

We are building modern coaching software, including thoughtful use of AI, to help coaches create more tailored programmes, improve para-athlete performance, and keep wellbeing and mental health part of the conversation rather than an afterthought.

Us

Each founder brings a different kind of expertise.

Built Twice sits where software craft, athlete experience, and performance science meet. These sections give each person space for the details behind their role.

Athlete experience

Wheelchair Rugby Athlete

Co-founder, Built Twice

Luke Collier

Luke brings the athlete perspective into the centre of Built Twice, shaped by years inside wheelchair rugby and the GB performance pathway. As a classification 2.5 athlete, he understands how training, recovery, equipment, communication, and support all have to work around the individual.

After progressing through GB Talent from 2018 to 2022 and into the GB Elite environment in 2022-2023, Luke helps pressure-test the product against what athletes and coaches need when the details really matter. His GB Elite debut came at the 2022 Canada Cup against Japan, then ranked number one in the world.

What we believe

The product has to respect the person.

These are the ideas we keep coming back to when we decide what Built Twice should do next.

Individual first

Para athletes do not fit a template. Plans need to account for impairment, equipment, classification, energy, recovery, goals, and the adaptations that make training possible.

Context before prescription

The best coaching decisions come from knowing what changed between sessions. Built Twice is designed to keep readiness, feedback, notes, and athlete context close to the plan.

Performance with care

Progress matters, but not at the cost of the person. We want modern tools, including AI, to support better performance while keeping wellbeing and mental health visible.
